About Sara

I am trained as a psychologist and spent 20 years providing assessment and treatment to many diverse clients. My primary focus during these years was on young children, 0-5 years of age, and their families. These children often had complex trauma and my focus was on the clinical application of attachment theory and trauma treatment. I worked with culturally diverse clients in the states of Utah, Hawaii, and New Mexico.
Once I moved to Oregon, I changed my focus from providing direct services to providing clinical supervision and to training individuals and groups in organizations on how to develop emotion regulation, build healthy, collaborative relationships, and prevent or recover from burnout. I also provide reflective supervision for organizations providing services to infants, young children, and families.
In 2019, I became a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training© (CCT™) teacher through Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) and Compassion Institute. I find it a great joy to teach CCT several times a year. I also offer shorter, customized training on Kindness and Compassion skills to fit the different needs of organizations. I am particularly excited about the practical application of these skills as a response to everyday life challenges and as a means to develop a healthy mind and body.
