Description
This six-hour course, led by Sara Owens Woodard, PhD, is the “least you need to know to get started” in loving-kindness and compassion practice.
If we are naturally kind and compassionate, why do we need to develop these skills?
- We lose our kindness and compassion when we feel angry, stressed, or tired
- We offer kindness and compassion to others and often offer little of the same to ourselves
- We lose important relationships, often because of broken down kindness and compassion
- Kindness and Compassion are shared human values that can bridge divides between people
Some benefits of making your kindness and compassion more balanced and stable:
- Becoming more resilient when faced with stress and suffering
- Developing more connected warm-hearted relationships
- Recovering from or avoiding slipping into burnout
- Living more in alignment with your deepest values
